So yea, I know I’m 2 weeks late…

So what’s happend the past 2 weeks?

Mostly work and work.

On my time off I’ve been planning my vacation this year, which will go to Amsterdam… and how will I get there?

By bike! so a lot of the weekends have gone into biking and getting into shape and to endure 4-5-6 hours on a bike, which I’ve so far managed quite well, 2 weeks ago I had Friday off and over the course of 3 days I covered over 100KM on the bike, that’s a little under 1/2 the way to Amsterdam from Münster.

I’m sorry that this post is so short, and there’s no picture, but I’ll post more next sunday

Ice Cream!

So… cryptic title ftw?

Yesterday I joined Gino out near Ahaus and go horse back riding. And in short I thought I’d fail very badly, but luckly not (sorry no picks, Gino forgot to gimme! )

Today I went biking a bit(about 40-ish KM) before dinner, and at the end after grabbing dinner, I had some Ice cream .

When I got home and peeked at the thermometer it showed that today it’s been over 30 degrees Celsius! (no wonder I was swetting :3).

The week have else been pretty slow, nothing fancy happening.. but next week I’ll be going home to norway for a long weekend, so hopefully something more exciting happening, oh and post will probably be on monday from the train :p

ps. technical news: got myself 2 VPS’ in the UK more later when I got time.

Jamboree Allstars on stage at Eurocityfestival in Münster

So yea, Woopsie, a day late again, too much fun in the weekend

So there was this Festival in town… Eurocityfestival, kinda fun, lots and lots of stages and good music, It started off for me with The Baseballs concert at Domplatz, and later that night went to a place called Gleis 22, which is a indy place, good music there as well

Saturday was spent in town as well, again listening to music, in particular Jamboree Allstars, a Ska band from this area :3.

Sunday was relaxing and was also spent in town, listening to music of bands I don’t know the name of :p.

Most of the week was kinda boring though, little to do at work, and a short break at Thursday, before going to work again on Friday, where I thought there would be even less to do, but that was quite the oposite…

Oh and today is the Norwegian constitutional day… rain, cold, and no stream working from NRK(Norwegian Broadcasting Company), the two first would’ve been ok if the NRK stream worked <.<, So Imma head out now and shout “hurra” just to get a little bit of 17th of may feeling…

Sorry for a bit late posting, I was too tired last night to write :/

So just a quick update, cause I write this before work x), Yesterday I biked 24km, 12km of them(after a dinner break) at high pace with avg. speed at 19.9 kmph, Friday was the most boring day ever at work, totally 3 phone calls, where only 1 was norwegian, and my supervisor threw staples at me

Week started slowly and as it progressed I got some useful experiences

Friday was quite busy, had quite a lot to do after Philipp left, but I managed to keep it going.

Yesterday was 1st of may and I went out to enjoy the sun and look at how 1st of may is celebrated here, apperantly more bier and less demo going on. And just to top it off, I did a nice faceplant, partially tore my new shorts, and had a nasty wound on my knee.

Today I started the day off by relaxing and go to a brunch with some other geocachers, after we went geocaching, found 4 and failed at 2 caches. Overall I managed to cover over 40 KM in a day, which is a new personal record since I got here.

Friday was also grilling day, went to Philipp’s place and relaxed there for a while until it got a bit too cold to stay out in a t-shirt.

Now I’m just hoping that DHL drops by with my package(purchased network in the plug and a set of headphones), and tomorrow also brings starting early, instead of starting 8:30 I from tomorrow start 8:00.

ps. Upgraded to Lucid Lynx yesterday, I’ll probably sit down and post about that Wedensday or so, maybe thursday.

Geocaching is fun! and so is training I figured.

Friday I decided to go training some, I wound up doing 14 KM in high gear, then I picked up a geocache I couldn’t reach earlier.

There I bumped into Lydia, a geocacher that is local(oh and her friend)

Later that night I went to a party at Philipp’s place, it was a lot of fun, and a lot of people there. Even got to practice my German all night

work have been like usual, little to do.

I also cleaned up my database for the blog a bit, it passed over 34 MB of data, now it’s a lot less(about 2 1/2 MB) so hopefully it responds a lot better now

Today it passed over 25°C outside! It was sooo nice to just sit outside and relax in the sun

ps. if you wonder why I changed the design it was because the old design actually fucked up viewing posts(and commenting on them), which is very bad.

Bought a EEE pc the other day, figured I needed something a bit more portable than this.

So what other news is there you may ask? well, I figured on avrage per day I actually bike between 10 and 30 km! (I carry a gps with me in my backpack :p), it depends a lot on if I’m just travelling between work, home and the store or if it’s a trip into the city as well. No wonder my legs are hurting like hell :p today is actually first day I haven’t touched the bike at all.

Work is good, a bit boring at the moment though. But everyday I learn a little new.

Went out drinking yesterday, despite having one green and one red berliner kindl, one Blaumann shot, 2 Jäger, 1 Mojito, 1 some pinapple, coco, and rum drink I don’t remember the name of, 1 regular pilsner, 1 guiness I STILL wasn’t even remotely close to drunk (I walked straight)…

Today have mostly been talk to people on skype and relax in the sun day, back to work tomorrow.

Yea, I bet you can’t guess who had a birthday… no… noo.. not me either… uhm, yea it was my Tenant’s birthday yesterday actually.

So yea, spent roughly 3-4 hours chatting only in german, and surpisingly I understood most(I think….)

Then later I was off in to town to go out with Nikoletta and a couple of other people, and wound up with 1 beer and about 1 1/2 hours on the bike to a bar that was closed

Work’s been a bit dull though, not a lot to do, and most notably the friday, I had a blazing 3 calls and 0 emails at least I got nice co-workers

I tried to do some geocaching yesterday as well, didn’t go that well, I got stuck on one (forgot to bring the instructions) and the other was “just” 6 meters up and I had nothing(or nobody) to climb on… I did contemplate about jumping down from the bridge onto a statue, but that was a bit more stupid than what I can do :p

Overall, Life’s great here in Münster now.

yea, 7 days, and just 3 more days of training, it’s kinda scary.

At least I got banking and all other stuff done going to meet up with the lady I’m renting from tomorrow and get the keys etc.

Other than that, there’s been a couple of nice warm and sunny days, today was off course one of them

I’ve been walking around the city and gotten to know a couple of nice places, but my feets are hurting

I can’t wait to get my own pc back though! getting tired of this small keyboard

First post from germany

and since sunday I’ve learned a lot, been through 1/3rd of the training, and it’s a lot to learn, and it’s not as easy as I first thought :3

The awesome news is that I got an appartment already, and my german is picking up slowly

My mind  is going a bit back and forth right now, and back to the appartment, It’s just 20 minutes to walk from work

got phone stuff sorted as well, but I still have to fix up banking(tomorrow) and rathaus(on saturday), most things close like 16:30 or 18:00, I’m done at work 17:30!

I dunno how much time I have, but I will be trying to update once a week, maybe even twice
